Ok I wanna find production numbers on the 1973 Gran Torino I have. Also any information on more parts sites where I can get body panels and such. Help a fellow oppo out?

This is THE best place, bar none, to get info on your car.

For parts I would check with Dearborn Classics. I'm pretty sure they have stuff for Torinos and other Fords. I've not dealt with the company so I can't give any feedback on the quality of the parts, or their service.

Green Sales Company in Cincinnati. Very helpful with NOS parts. Expensive, but nice folks to deal with.

For my 73 Buick LeSabre, I ended up having to make all the replacement sheetmetal I needed by hand. Hopefully the Torino is more popular than the LeSabre! Link to pics of the metalwork I had to do. The little flares over the wheel arches were the hardest part! Looks like the Torino's are similar to my Buick.

If your current rear bumper is salvageable, I'd just have it rechromed locally. I've seen some repop bumpers and the quality isn't spectacular. A decent body shop should be able to mend any issues with a factory bumper and recommend a quality chrome plating service.

Ok story time: the guy I got it from has owned the car for 40 years. Used to haul a camping trailer with it, the bumper has hitch holds and surface rust, it's still solid but I need to get to get it changed

Hm. You might see if your local Ford Dealership can get the information, especially if they were around back then. The model production numbers are readily published, but specific options (including engine) aren't, but I bet a Ford dealer has a reference somewhere or could contact someone who does.
